An indoor art exhibit with pastel-colored walls and cityscape projections. Four people, including two children, observe colorful art pieces displayed on pedestals and shelves. A purple curved shelf on the back wall holds small art objects, with a sign above that reads 'The Magic Museum.'

ANGELA YUEN

Specially for the Edible Art Fair, Hong Kong artist Angela Yuen presents an immersive installation that continues her exploration of the city’s neighbourhoods. Drawing from her signature practice of transforming collected found objects into a poetic narrative of Hong Kong’s past, present and future, Yuen’s installation uncovers human warmth in manufactured relics, from classic toys to electronic parts.

Acting as a ‘magician’ for urban memory, Yuen weaves together fragments from different decades. Her installation evokes a nostalgic yet forward-looking “MADE IN HK” spirit, creating a sensory time capsule that honours Hong Kong’s unique history, while shaping its evolving identity.

“Each object I collect carries traces of how Hong Kong people live, remember, and adapt.”

A chocolate duck-shaped treat in a bag with a whimsical label that reads 'Magic Makers' and features a cartoon duck, set against a background of stylized city buildings with a sunset sky.

A smooth, sculptural chocolate duck, cast as a single solid form and filled with soft mini marshmallow inside.
Its glossy finish and simplified shape echo the familiar plastic toy, an object of comfort and memory.

Inspired by the practice of Angela Yuen, this piece reflects her exploration of everyday objects and emotional connection.

In line with Contemporary Art, it transforms a simple, nostalgic form into something emotional, interactive, and edible.
